Since I’ve been deployed out out here to Afghanistan, I’ve become a bit of a news junkie. I’ve subscribed to newsletters of all sorts from most of the country’s major newspapers, as well as a few others around my home state of MN, and also places where I’ve been stationed. One newsletter that it seems every newspaper website has is a “Breaking News” -letter, and I’ve found it interesting how quickly some things reach my inbox.

Convicted Serial Killer Anthony Sowell is Sentenced to Death in an Ohio Court – 12 Aug 2011
He was convicted of 11 counts of aggravated murder and more than 70 other charges, including abusing corpses and kidnapping.
