Standard & Poor's rating agency has now said that there is a 50% chance that it will downgrade the US Government's credit rating within the next few months. I am admittedly ignorant about a lot of financial things, but I don't see how that's really going to affect us all that much. Perhaps someone can enlighten me. I have a hard time understanding that it would be the same as with individuals.
